Turnpike Rollaway, Route 101A Milford Road, Nashua, New Hampshire

• Operator: Robert Bullard & Family.[1]
• Manager: Robert M. Bullard[5]
• Pro/Coach: Charles & Mary Hurlburt[2]
• Floor size: 70' x 175'[6]
• Floor type: Natural Hard Wood (no plastic coating)[5]
• Primary reason for closing: The primary reason for closing was a decline in roller skating at the time and my Grandmother had, had enough.[5]
• Opened: 1957[3] - 1974[4]

"The rink became a club called "The Place", then it became "Brother's Four", and finally the "Bahama Beach Club". One night the roof caved in. (After Hours) thankfully. When the building was designed, they used "String & Bow" trussing as a means to have no poles. When the clubs started operating, they went in hanging lights and sound and air conditioning units etc., and the roof couldn't take it."

Sadly, skating ended at the Turnpike Rollaway.

"The rink became a club called "The Place", then "Brother's Four",
and finally the "Bahama Beach Club".

"After the building collapsed, The owners of the club stopped paying taxes on the property and left it abandoned. That is until the city ordered a "clean up" due to it being a hazard. The property was in fact leveled and put up for sale. NO BUYERS. It was for sale for $11 Million Dollars. With the exception of the parking lot, nature reclaimed the property and it's now overgrown with trees once again. It's like it was NEVER there! Very very sad. The property never sold because of the current codes for access. The parking lot is now used by a local car dealer."
